Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Five and Leaves Several Injured in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A horrifying road accident occurred on Sunday near Faisalabad, resulting in the loss of five lives and leaving eight others injured. The incident took place at Darma Wala Morr, an area located in Khurrianwala near Faisalabad, when a speeding bus, en route from Lahore to Faisalabad, collided with a car.

The collision between the bus and the car was so severe that the car, unable to bear the impact, subsequently crashed into a tractor trolley parked nearby. Tragically, all the occupants of the car lost their lives on the spot, while the driver of the tractor trolley, identified as Abdul Qayyum, also succumbed to his injuries. The deceased individuals were identified as Waleed, Raza, Mateen, and Manzoor.

In addition to the fatalities, several individuals sustained injuries in the accident. Three passengers who were traveling in the bus suffered minor injuries, while five others were left in critical condition. Promptly responding to the distress call, the dedicated personnel of Rescue1122 swiftly arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical assistance to the injured. Both the injured individuals and the deceased were subsequently transported to Allied Hospital in Faisalabad for further medical treatment and post-mortem examinations respectively.

Meanwhile, local law enforcement authorities promptly reached the site of the incident to initiate an investigation into the tragic accident. The primary objective of the investigation is to ascertain the causes and factors that contributed to the collision. Preliminary reports suggest that excessive speed on the part of the bus driver may have played a significant role in triggering the accident.
