Tragedy struck in Noushehro Feroze district as one of the two policemen, who were abducted from a picket, was found dead with gunshot wounds on Sunday. The other officer managed to return home, albeit with a head injury.

DSP Habibur Rehman Lashari revealed that a notorious gang of dacoits, responsible for stealing cows from a cattle farm near Mahesar village in the Darbelo area of Tharu Shah town, was believed to be behind the abduction of the officers on Saturday night.
During the heinous act, the criminals not only kidnapped the officers but also seized their firearms. The deceased police constable has been identified as Jabir Rajput, while Sudheer Larik sustained a severe head injury.

According to DSP Lashari, the officers were targeted because they had intercepted the robbers during the act of stealing the cattle. The body of the slain constable has been transferred to the Rural Health Centre Tharu Shah for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the injured policeman has also been admitted to the same medical facility for his treatment. Both officers were stationed at the Kela Mori police picket. Rajput’s family has accused SSP Naushehro Feroze Abid Ali Baloch and DSP Tharu Shah of colluding with the gang of robbers.
Surprisingly, as of Sunday evening, no FIR has been filed for this horrific incident, and the police have not apprehended any suspects.
