The pursuit continued until Walker reached a curve on Cole Road and Utah Drive, where he was unable to maintain a safe speed and veered off the road to the right. The vehicle subsequently collided with an apartment building, causing extensive damage. Unfortunately, Walker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not released any details regarding the passenger of the fleeing vehicle, but it has been confirmed that they were transported to Baptist Medical Center with serious injuries.
