Police – Accident – Death – Obituary News : Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Rialto Collision; Driver Arrested
Rialto, UK – Tragedy struck on Saturday, November 11, when a motorcyclist lost his life in a collision with a car in Rialto. Authorities responded to the distressing scene in the 1400 block of West Foothill Boulevard, near the popular Renaissance Center shopping mall, at approximately 12:15 p.m. The motorcyclist was found with severe injuries, while the driver of a Nissan Maxima remained unharmed, according to the Rialto Police Department.

Regrettably, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene, leaving the community in shock. As investigators delved into the circumstances surrounding the collision, they discovered that the motorcyclist had been traveling westbound in the left lane on Foothill Boulevard, approaching a green light. Meanwhile, the driver of the Maxima, identified as 36-year-old Haloman Tellez-Zelaya from Fontana, attempted a U-turn from eastbound Foothill Boulevard, directly in the path of the motorcyclist. This ill-fated maneuver forced the rider to collide with the car, resulting in the tragic loss of life.
It was revealed that Tellez-Zelaya was driving without a valid driver’s license, and further investigation disclosed that he had received a citation just a week prior to the incident. However, authorities do not suspect he was under the influence of any substances at the time of the crash.
In light of these findings, Tellez-Zelaya was apprehended on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. He was subsequently booked into jail, with bail set at $500,000, as confirmed by the Rialto Police Department.
