Fatal Accident at Akyem Koforidua Claims Four Lives, Including Emmanuel Asiedu, South Birim Rural Bank Branch Manager

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Four individuals have tragically lost their lives and a dozen more have sustained serious injuries in a devastating accident that occurred in Akyem Koforidua, located in the Manso Akroso District of the Eastern region.

The incident involved a Pontiac Vibe, bearing the registration number GG 3528-14, and a Toyota Hiace, registered as GM 3150-13, colliding head-on this past Sunday. According to an eyewitness who spoke to Adom News, the accident occurred when one of the tires on the Pontiac Vibe burst, causing the driver to lose control and collide with the Toyota Hiace.

The Toyota Hiace was carrying a total of 15 passengers and was traveling from Bantama, a suburb of Akim Akroso in Asene. As a result of the collision, approximately 12 passengers suffered various degrees of injuries, with one individual being in critical condition.

Tragically, one of the deceased victims has been identified as Emmanuel Asiedu, the Branch Manager of the South Birim Rural Bank at Akyem Achiase. The identities of the other victims have not been disclosed at this time. Following the accident, all injured individuals were promptly rushed to the Asamankese Government Hospital for immediate medical attention. The bodies of the deceased have been respectfully placed in the hospital’s mortuary.
