BENGALURU: A 36-year-old man, identified as Madesha R., has been apprehended by the Kengeri police for the fatal stabbing of his friend, Rajkumar (34), during a drunken brawl. The incident occurred on the night of November 6 in a vacant plot near Rajkumar’s residence in Kengeri Satellite Town. Both Madesha and Rajkumar worked as cab drivers.

According to the authorities, a heated argument broke out between Madesha and Rajkumar while they were consuming alcohol. The disagreement escalated, leading Madesha to allegedly attack Rajkumar with a knife, inflicting fatal wounds.
Following the stabbing, Madesha fled the scene and returned in his car with another friend named Khaleem. Madesha claimed that he had received information about an attack on Rajkumar and was rushing to his rescue. Together, Madesha and Khaleem hurried Rajkumar to a nearby hospital.
However, soon after admitting Rajkumar, Madesha disappeared. Tragically, Rajkumar succumbed to his injuries. The police managed to apprehend Madesha the following day.
During the investigation, Madesha confessed that he had previously quarreled with Rajkumar over certain issues. On the fateful day, Rajkumar had spoken ill of Madesha’s wife and daughter, which enraged him and prompted the knife attack.
