A Fatality Occurs Following a Motor Vehicle Accident in Northern Kentucky

In a tragic incident on Monday morning, a fatal crash claimed the life of a man in northern Kentucky. The Kentucky State Police received a distressing 911 call about the accident in Owen County at approximately 7:50 a.m. Promptly responding to the call, troopers rushed to the scene to assess the situation.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the Kentucky State Police revealed that the driver involved in the accident was traveling north on Old Monterey Road. However, the driver failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. In a devastating turn of events, the vehicle collided with multiple trees before eventually coming to a halt.

Tragically, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Owen County Coroner. The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Chase Downs, hailing from Flatwoods, Kentucky. The community mourns the loss of a fellow resident and extends their deepest condolences to the grieving family.
