Jobless Man Arrested in Cebu City for Possession of Suspected Shabu Worth P6.9 Million

A 31-year-old unemployed man was apprehended in a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the City Intelligence Unit of the Cebu City Police Office in Sitio Paglaum, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City. Renan Talledo Pardo, accompanied by his live-in partner from Lower San Roque, was found to be in possession of a staggering 1,220 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P6,949,000.

The operation, spearheaded by Police Major Jonathan Beethoven Taneo, Chief of Mambaling Police Station, took place at approximately 3 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023. This significant seizure is expected to have a substantial impact on the local drug trade, disrupting the suspect’s alleged illicit activities.

Further investigations revealed that Pardo, a notorious figure in the area, had been involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics for some time. Authorities believe that he was capable of disposing of up to 2 kilograms of illegal substances every month, underscoring the extent of his involvement in the drug trade.
