28-Year-Old John Kinloch Arrested After Pursuit and Striking Patrol Car Multiple Times

Accident – Death – Obituary News : NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A dramatic traffic stop turned into a high-speed pursuit over the weekend, resulting in the arrest of a 28-year-old individual who allegedly led officers on a reckless chase and deliberately rammed a patrol car multiple times.

The incident unfolded when an alert officer from the Greenbrier Police Department initiated a routine traffic stop on a vehicle at Springfield Highway. However, instead of complying with the officer’s instructions, the driver defiantly fled the scene, not once but twice, reaching speeds of at least 55 miles per hour. The officer, suspecting impairment, grew increasingly concerned about the safety of other road users.

During the intense pursuit, the suspect repeatedly rammed the officer’s vehicle, displaying a brazen disregard for both the law and the safety of law enforcement officials. The chase finally came to a halt when a Metro Nashville police officer witnessed the suspect crashing into the patrol car. The pursuit ended at the 100 block of Hillwood Boulevard.

In a daring move to prevent the suspect from escaping, the Metro police officer intentionally made contact with the suspect’s vehicle, effectively immobilizing it. This decisive action not only protected the public but also ensured the swift apprehension of the suspect.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old John Kinloch, was promptly taken into custody. It was later revealed that Kinloch was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, further aggravating the severity of his actions.

Following his arrest, Kinloch was transported back to Greenbrier, where he faced initial charges. However, his reckless behavior also resulted in additional charges in Davidson County. The 28-year-old now faces felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges from a motor vehicle. He was subsequently booked into Metro Jail on Sunday, Nov. 12.
