Tragically, the driver of the Kia, identified as 22-year-old Adrian Rene Lujan Terrazas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations conducted by detectives suggest that Terrazas crossed into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with the woman’s vehicle.

Further scrutiny into the accident revealed that Terrazas was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Additionally, it was discovered that he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Authorities also found drugs inside his vehicle, although it remains unclear whether Terrazas had drugs in his system during the incident.

A child passenger was also present in the Kia and was rushed to the hospital with serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries. Alarmingly, the child was not secured in a child seat and was likely unrestrained at the time of the collision.

The driver of the Hyundai, whose identity remains undisclosed, was transported to Banner University Medical Center in critical condition, with injuries considered life-threatening.
