Tragic Incident: Four Members of a Family Brutally Murdered in Udupi District

In a devastating turn of events, a family of four, including a young boy, was found brutally murdered in Kemmannu, a village located in the Udupi district of Karnataka. The grim discovery was made on Sunday morning, leaving the local community in shock and disbelief.

The victims have been identified as Haseena, a 46-year-old woman, and her three sons—Afghan, aged 23, Aynaz, aged 21, and a 12-year-old boy whose name has not been disclosed. The incident occurred at their residence in Tripti Nagar, situated in the Nejar area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Malpe police station.

According to the police, the harrowing crime took place when a masked assailant forcibly entered the family’s home and launched a vicious knife attack. Tragically, Haseena’s mother-in-law also sustained severe injuries during the assault and has been admitted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The motive behind this horrific act is currently under investigation, as law enforcement officials are working tirelessly to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy. Initial media reports suggest that Haseena’s husband, Mohammed Noor, works abroad, leaving her and her children residing in the house with their grandmother.

Superintendent of Police for Udupi District, Arun Kumar, personally visited the crime scene to assess the situation and offer support to the grieving family. Speaking to the press, he stated, “At this stage of the investigation, it is premature to ascertain the exact motive. As no valuable possessions appear to be missing from the house, it is unlikely that this was a murder committed for financial gain.”

He further added, “During the time of the attack, only five individuals were present inside the house, and the sounds of their distress caught the attention of concerned neighbors who rushed to their aid.”

The police have swiftly formed five dedicated teams to investigate the case comprehensively and apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this heinous crime. The authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice and ensuring the safety of the local community.
