Police Search for Armed and Dangerous Suspect in Millard County Shooting

MEADOW, Millard County — Authorities in Millard County are actively searching for a male suspect believed to be involved in a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, according to a statement released by the Millard County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous, remains at large as of Sunday.

Upon receiving a distress call reporting a gunshot victim in the Meadow area on Saturday, law enforcement officers from Millard County and the Utah Highway Patrol swiftly responded to the scene, as stated by the Millard County Sheriff’s Office. However, no further information regarding the condition of the shooting victim has been disclosed at this time.

Following the shooting, the gunman fled the area, leaving authorities in pursuit. The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Zachary Pikyavit, described as having long black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark gray hoodie, jeans, and a bandana.

The Millard County Sheriff’s Office urges the public to exercise extreme caution and refrain from making direct contact with Pikyavit. Instead, individuals are advised to immediately call 911 or contact the Millard County Sheriff’s Office at 435-743-5302 to report any sightings or information pertaining to the suspect’s whereabouts.
