Accident – Death – Obituary News : Police in Ocoee, Florida, are offering a £5,000 reward for any information that may lead to the identification and apprehension of the individual(s) responsible for the shooting and subsequent death of veteran Gregory Reed. The incident occurred on the evening of November 9th, as Reed was driving through a BP convenience store parking lot off Clarke and Silver Star roads. Tragically, Reed sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.

In response to this devastating loss, family members of the Army veteran held a news conference on Veterans Day to bring attention to the case. Tyrone Scott, Reed’s cousin, expressed his disbelief and sorrow, stating, “For someone to hurt this man like they did is wrong. He didn’t deserve that. He deserves to be here today.” Reed’s daughter, Deidre Anderson, also pleaded for information regarding her father’s death, emphasizing that he was not involved in any altercations and was a loving family man who had sacrificed a great deal for his loved ones.

The Ocoee Police Department has since released videos and images of the suspect’s vehicle, which appears to be a silver SUV. Law enforcement authorities believe that the shooting may have been a random act, as it does not appear to be connected to an armed robbery. While investigators do not suspect any prior connection between the suspect(s) and the victim, there may have been a verbal exchange before the fatal shot was fired.

Police Lieutenant Mireya Iannuzzi emphasized the urgency of the case, particularly on Veterans Day, stating, “He was a proud veteran, and today of all days, we need the public’s help. We desperately want to bring justice to this family. This is just such a violent encounter, seemingly with no explanation and no reason why.”
