On the fateful night of November 9, around 2 am, contractor Suraj Singh Bora instructed the duo to park the crane. Despite government restrictions on nighttime work, Bora insisted on completing the task to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the morning.

Tragedy struck when Yadav assumed the ringer position on the crane. Shortly after the crane started operating, he approached his cousin, distressed that an iron object had flown from the crane’s rolling chain and struck his stomach. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, Yadav’s peers rushed him to Bhabha Hospital in Kurla West. However, due to a lack of necessary facilities, doctors advised transferring him to another hospital.

Subsequently, Yadav was taken to Surana Hospital in Chembur, where medical treatment commenced. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, the young worker tragically succumbed to his injuries at around 5:20 am.
