27-Year-Old Security Guard Fatally Shot Inside South Los Angeles Marijuana Dispensary

LOS ANGELES – Tragedy struck a marijuana dispensary in South Los Angeles as a 27-year-old security guard was shot and killed while on duty. The victim has been identified as Francisco Alonzo, according to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The shooting incident occurred on Friday evening, around 6:20 p.m., at the dispensary located in the 6600 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, near Hyde Park Boulevard. Authorities received the distressing report via the LAPD’s Operations Center.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Alonzo suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Sadly, despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Based on preliminary investigations, it has been revealed that Alonzo was involved in a dispute, potentially linked to a robbery, with the suspect. The situation escalated, resulting in the fatal shooting.

Regrettably, the individual responsible for firing the shots managed to flee the scene before officers arrived. The suspect is currently at large, and the LAPD is actively pursuing leads to apprehend him.
