The deceased has been identified as Blessing Williams, a single mother who had been facing challenging circumstances. According to a reliable source who preferred to remain anonymous, Williams’ mother had been providing assistance to both her daughter and grandson. The sudden demise of Blessing Williams has left everyone stunned.

Recalling the sequence of events, the source shared, “This morning, while I was at home, the son passed by. My mother called out to him and inquired about his mother’s well-being.”

“He assured us that his mother was fine and continued on his way. We asked him to return home after his errand, as my mother intended to give him some money to purchase items for himself and his mother.”

“In less than 20 minutes, he hurried back, expressing concern that he had been calling his mother but receiving no response.”

This heartbreaking incident follows closely after the discovery of another female student’s body at the University of Port Harcourt, located in the Aluu community of the Ikwerre Local Government Area. Furthermore, just weeks ago, the decomposing remains of another female student, Justina Otuene, were allegedly found in her former lover’s apartment in Ozuoba, also within the Obio/Akpor LGA.

Adding to the distressing news, reports emerged on Thursday of a 13-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted, murdered, and buried in a shallow grave by criminals in Amaku-Mba, a community situated in Etche LGA of Rivers State.

Efforts to obtain a statement from Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the state Police Command, were unsuccessful as her mobile phone was unreachable. Additionally, she has not responded to a text message sent to her at the time of filing this report on Friday.
