Three Men Killed in Bike Accident at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Visakhapatnam: Tragedy struck on Thursday evening when a fatal accident occurred at sector two of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) locality in the city. Three young men lost their lives after the bike they were riding crashed into a divider.

The victims have been identified as A Somesh (19), K Vasu (20), and K Raju (23). All three were residents of Gangavaram locality and worked as daily wage electricians.

According to Inspector of Police V Srinivasa Rao, the accident happened due to overspeeding and irresponsible driving. Somesh, who was riding the bike, was traveling at a high speed when he lost control and collided with the divider. The impact was so forceful that the bike also hit an electric pole.

Tragically, Somesh and Vasu died on the spot, while Raju was rushed to KG Hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical care. The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning the loss of these young lives.

Law enforcement authorities have registered a case and have begun investigating the accident. The bodies have been sent for postmortem to determine the exact cause of death. It is a heartbreaking incident that serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible driving and adhering to traffic rules.

In recent times, there have been several accidents reported in different parts of India. Another tragic accident occurred in Bijnor, where three youths fell off their motorcycle after being hit by stray cattle. Subsequently, they were run over by a four-wheeler, resulting in their death. In Shamli, three members of a family also lost their lives in a hit-and-run accident when their car was struck by an unidentified vehicle. One person from the family is in critical condition.

These incidents highlight the need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules and measures to prevent overspeeding and reckless driving. It is essential for authorities to take necessary steps to ensure road safety and create awareness among the public about the importance of responsible driving.
