Ranger Killed in Landmine Explosion in Narathiwat

NARATHIWAT: Tragedy struck in Rangae district on Thursday afternoon when a ranger lost his life and two others sustained minor injuries in a devastating landmine explosion, according to local authorities.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:05 pm while a team of rangers from Ranger Company 4503 were conducting a routine patrol in a forest near Hulu Pare, specifically located in the Moo 1 village in tambon Tanyongmat. Unfortunately, one of the team members accidentally stepped on a hidden landmine, triggering a powerful explosion.
