Joint Operation in Tank District Results in the Elimination of Four Militants

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In a successful joint operation conducted by the police and security forces, four militants were neutralized in the Wazir Kalay area of Tank district on Thursday, as reported by the police.

The operation was launched just in time as the militants were allegedly en route to carry out vicious attacks, posing a grave threat to the safety and security of the region.

A fierce gun battle ensued, with both sides engaging in an intense exchange of fire, ultimately leading to the elimination of four highly sought-after militants. The police asserted that these individuals were deeply involved in a range of anti-state activities, causing significant harm to the peace and stability of the area.

One of the deceased militants has been identified as Shoaib, a resident of the Pai area, while the identity of the other remains unknown at present. Unfortunately, two of the militants managed to escape with the bodies of their fallen comrades. Fortunately, the security forces were able to seize three submachine guns (SMGs) and a substantial quantity of ammunition, preventing further potential harm that could have been inflicted by these criminals.

This successful joint operation is a testament to the unwavering commitment and relentless efforts of the police and security forces in combatting terrorism and ensuring the safety of the local populace.
