Man Killed and Brothers Injured in Violent Attack over Shoulder Touch in Southeast Delhi

NEW DELHI: A tragic incident unfolded in southeast Delhi when a 28-year-old man lost his life and his two brothers sustained injuries after being brutally attacked by four individuals following an altercation over a slight shoulder touch, according to the authorities.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd. Azad (28), while the injured victims are Mohd Irshad (25) and Mohd Saddab (24), all residents of Govindpuri.
Law enforcement officials have successfully apprehended the suspects involved in the murder, namely Shivam alias Kunal, Sunny aka Laalu, Saurabh alias Koki, and Mohd. Junaid.
A distress call was received by the Kalkaji police station at 10 pm on Wednesday, reporting a stabbing incident in the vicinity of Machhli Market, DDA Flats Kalkaji. However, when the police arrived at the scene, they discovered that the victims had already been rushed to a nearby hospital.
Tragically, Azad was pronounced dead upon arrival at the AIIMS Trauma Centre, while Mohd. Irshad is currently undergoing treatment for stab and lacerated injuries. The third victim, Mohd. Sadab, received immediate first aid and was subsequently discharged from Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital,” informed DCP (southeast) Rajesh Deo. The crime scene underwent a meticulous examination by the Delhi Police’s Crime Team.
Utilizing CCTV footage and conducting interviews with witnesses, law enforcement officials pieced together the sequence of events. “It was determined that around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a brawl broke out between Shivam and the three victims near Junaid’s meat shop in Govindpuri. The victims initially assaulted Shivam, leading him to retaliate by striking Saddab in the chin,” revealed the DCP.
Such incidents highlight the importance of maintaining calm and resolving conflicts through peaceful means. The Delhi Police are actively working towards ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within the city, with swift action being taken to apprehend the perpetrators involved in this heinous crime.
