RUSSELL COUNTY, Ala. – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is currently carrying out a thorough investigation into a tragic single-vehicle accident that occurred on Thursday, November 9, claiming the life of a young individual.

The victim has been identified as Dalton C. Osburne, a 19-year-old resident of the area.

According to ALEA officials, Osburne was operating a 2017 Can-Am Maverick all-terrain vehicle (ATV) when the unfortunate incident took place. The ATV veered off the road and collided with a ditch before overturning along Stillwell Road in Russell County.

It has been reported that Osburne was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the importance of adhering to safety measures while operating such vehicles.
