35-year-old man apprehended for raping 5-year-old girl in Ibere, Abia State

Accident – Death – Obituary News : A 35-year-old man, known by the name “Yellow,” has been apprehended in Ibere, Abia State, on charges of raping a 5-year-old girl inside a room. The suspect was caught in the act by an angry mob, who proceeded to inflict severe beatings on him. The accused confessed to his heinous crime, admitting that he had engaged in sexual contact with the innocent child. He claimed to have enticed the girl with groundnuts as a means of luring her.

In a plea for forgiveness, “Yellow” stated that he was influenced by the “Devil” to commit such a detestable act. He further claimed that the chilling weather from the rain had heightened his desires, leading to the incident. According to his account, he was sitting with some friends, casually eating groundnuts, when he entered the building to retrieve something. Inside, he claimed to have encountered the young girl and offered her some groundnut seeds. Tragically, she followed him inside, where the assault took place.

The accused attempted to justify his actions by stating that he tried to be gentle with the child during the assault. However, sources from Ibere revealed that the victim had been swiftly taken to the hospital by her family for immediate medical attention. The severity of her injuries remains undisclosed.

Upon apprehension, the 35-year-old rapist was handed over to local security personnel, who will subsequently transfer him to the police for a thorough investigation.
