Fort Pierce Police spokesperson Larry Croom stated that police received a call about possible gunshots at the marina, along with reports of something floating in the water. Responding promptly, an officer arrived at the scene within three minutes. Subsequently, a police boat was swiftly launched, and investigators confirmed the presence of a body in the water.

Thomas Allen Reigh Jr. was officially identified as the deceased individual, as confirmed by Croom on Tuesday.

Janie DuBois, the office manager of the District 19 Medical Examiner’s Office in Fort Pierce, disclosed that the cause and manner of Thomas Allen Reigh Jr.’s death are yet to be determined.

Authorities have refrained from disclosing whether Reigh’s death resulted from a criminal act. “We don’t believe there’s a public threat,” mentioned Croom. “We believe it’s an isolated incident. We’re not looking for anyone.”
