GURNEE — Authorities have identified a 56-year-old woman from Round Lake Beach as the pedestrian who tragically lost her life in a vehicle crash on November 6 in Gurnee. The incident occurred at the intersection of Washington Street and Hunt Club Road at approximately 9:07 p.m., prompting an immediate response from the Gurnee Police and Fire Departments.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that the female pedestrian had been struck by two vehicles while crossing the roadway. Urgently, she was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where she was sadly pronounced dead in the emergency room, according to an official news release.

Due to the seriousness of the incident, the Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) of Lake County was called in to support the ongoing investigation, alongside the Gurnee Police Department. Additionally, the Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified to determine the cause and manner of the victim’s death.

The pedestrian has now been identified as Teresa Williams, a resident of Round Lake Beach. On November 7, an autopsy was conducted at the Lake County Coroner’s Office to shed light on the circumstances surrounding her tragic demise. Preliminary findings from the autopsy indicate that Williams succumbed to fatal blunt force injuries sustained during the collision.
