Nine-Year-Old Rape Victim in Rae Bareli: Accused Arrested After Encounter with Police

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a middle-aged man identified as Pir Mohammed in Rae Bareli. The accused was later arrested after an encounter with the police.

The incident came to light on Sunday night when the parents of the victim informed the police. A manhunt was launched for Pir Mohammed based on the survivor’s statement, and eyewitnesses also supported the survivor’s account, stating that they had seen him with the minor.

During his arrest, Pir Mohammed allegedly attempted to snatch the service revolver of a sub-inspector. However, the police managed to apprehend him by shooting him in the leg. The accused was then taken to a local CHC where he is currently in stable condition.

Additional SP, Rae Bareli, Naveen Kumar Singh, stated that the police had been conducting raids to capture the accused. He revealed that Pir Mohammed had been evading the police team but was finally surrounded and asked to surrender. In a desperate attempt to escape, the accused snatched a revolver and opened fire, prompting the police to retaliate. One of the bullets hit Pir Mohammed in the leg, causing him to collapse.

During the arrest, the police also recovered a countrymade pistol from the accused’s possession. The accused has been booked under IPC 376 (3) for committing rape with a woman under 16 years, as well as under the SC/ST Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

In another disturbing incident on Monday night, the Barabanki police arrested a man in his 60s for the alleged rape of a two-year-old girl. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital.

These incidents highlight the need for stricter laws and increased vigilance to ensure the safety and security of children. The police are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide support to the survivors and their families.

In other news, a 16-year-old boy from a Dalit community in Pudukkottai district, Tamil Nadu, tragically committed suicide after allegedly being assaulted and verbally abused by members of a higher caste community for speaking to a girl from their community. Meanwhile, in Ahmedabad, the rural police are investigating a gang rape and robbery at an apartment building. During the investigation, it was discovered that one of the suspects was involved in a narcotics offense in Punjab. The five security guards broke into the apartment and molested a woman, as well as raped her domestic worker. The accused had carefully monitored the movements of the victims and planned the crime. The police have requested more information from the states where the suspects are from.

In a recent case in Delhi, a 20-year-old student who had married his 35-year-old teacher was granted anticipatory bail by the Delhi High Court.
