Accident – Death – Obituary News : Hezbollah Vows to Respond “Double” to Israeli Attacks on Civilians Following Tragic Deaths in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Nov 7 (Reuters) – In the wake of a devastating strike that claimed the lives of three children and their grandmother in south Lebanon, a Hezbollah lawmaker has declared that the Lebanese militant group will respond “double” to any future Israeli attacks on civilians. The remarks, made by Ali Fayyad at the funeral of the four Lebanese victims, highlight the volatile situation on the Israeli-Lebanese border, where deadly clashes between Israeli troops and Iran-backed Hezbollah fighters are fueling fears of a wider regional war.

“The resistance will respond double to any aggression that targets civilians,” stated Ali Fayyad, emphasizing Hezbollah’s determination to protect innocent lives. The funeral, held in the southern town of Blida, saw mourners holding photographs of the three girls, aged between 10 and 14, who tragically lost their lives in the strike. The coffins were draped in the flags of Lebanon and a local scouts organization, with a banner declaring the girls as martyrs and featuring the emblem of Hezbollah.

The Israeli military stated that its troops engaged a vehicle in Lebanon that was “identified as a suspected transport for terrorists” and is currently investigating reports of civilians being inside. However, Lebanese authorities have confirmed that the strike was an Israeli attack on the car carrying the family. This incident has further exacerbated tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border, which is already witnessing the deadliest violence since 2006.

Hezbollah, an Iran-backed group, has been actively involved in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. As Israel continues its bombardment of Hamas targets, clashes between Israeli troops and Hezbollah fighters have intensified. The violence has resulted in the deaths of more than 60 Hezbollah fighters and 10 civilians, according to Lebanese security officials. Meanwhile, at least seven Israeli soldiers and one civilian have been killed.

The situation remains highly precarious, with both sides showing no signs of backing down. Israel stated on Monday that it had struck Hezbollah targets in response to a large barrage of rockets fired at northern Israeli cities. With the death toll rising and tensions escalating, the fear of a wider regional war looms large.

It is important to note that Hezbollah’s vow to respond “double” to Israeli attacks on civilians underscores the group’s determination to protect innocent lives. The tragic deaths of the four Lebanese victims have further fueled the volatile situation along the Israeli-Lebanese border, where clashes between Israeli troops and Hezbollah fighters continue to intensify. As the conflict rages on, the international community watches with concern, hoping for a de-escalation of violence and a resolution to the longstanding Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
