Man Arrested in Connection with Homicide in Goodlettsville, Tennessee

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Goodlettsville police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a recent shooting incident that resulted in the death of a man.

Shaquan Lee Weber has been charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the local authorities.

On November 1st, Goodlettsville Emergency Services received a distress call regarding a medical emergency at 845 Springfield Highway. The incident involved a man found in a parking lot. The victim, identified as Jerqune Bassham, was swiftly transported to Skyline Medical Center. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival, as confirmed by the police.

Following a thorough examination by a medical examiner, it was established that Bassham had sustained a single gunshot wound, leading to his untimely death. The case was officially classified as a homicide.

After an extensive investigation, authorities identified Shaquan Lee Weber as a suspect in the case. With the assistance of the Metro Nashville Police Department, Weber was apprehended on Monday in East Nashville.

Weber has been subsequently booked into the Sumner County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and additional details are expected to emerge as it progresses.
