MIDLAND COUNTY CRASH CLAIMS LIFE OF EL PASO MAN

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victim of a fatal crash in Midland County earlier this week as 21-year-old Angel Garcia-Martinez from El Paso.

The tragic incident occurred on November 5, around 9:30 p.m., near the intersection of State Highway 349 and West County Road 173. Investigating officers reported that Garcia-Martinez was driving a Nissan 350Z in a westerly direction on WCR 173 when he allegedly failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection. Subsequently, his vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Silverado 3500 that was towing a trailer, and was heading southbound on SH 349. The exact circumstances leading up to the collision are still under investigation, and authorities are working diligently to gather all the necessary details.

Regrettably, Angel Garcia-Martinez sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by attending emergency responders. Fortunately, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado escaped the incident unharmed.
