A tragic incident occurred at an AT&T facility in Cambridge on Tuesday, resulting in the death of a 44-year-old Sturbridge man. The Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office has identified the victim.

According to the office, the Cambridge police received a distressing call around 8:30 a.m. on November 7th, notifying them of an electrocution incident at the AT&T building located at 250 Bent St.

Upon arrival, the responding officers discovered the lifeless body of the man lying on the ground. Immediately, they initiated life-saving measures and promptly transported him to Massachusetts General Hospital. Regrettably, the medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed at this time.

Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation suggest that the victim was a subcontractor employed at the AT&T facility. It appears that the fatal incident occurred while he was working on an emergency lighting conduit, as revealed by the District Attorney’s Office.
