28-Year-Old Jose Valliant of Belleview Fatally Shot Outside Burger King in Ocala

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Ocala Police Department officials have recently provided an update on the tragic shooting incident that took place in the city on Friday. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Jose Valliant from Belleview. Additionally, detectives have made arrests in connection with the case, charging a man and a woman with tampering with evidence.

According to the authorities, Valliant was meeting someone at the Burger King parking lot located at 2301 E. Silver Springs Blvd. on November 3. During the meeting, an altercation occurred, resulting in Valliant being shot. The injured victim was promptly rushed to Maricamp ER, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Law enforcement officials have refrained from disclosing the identity of the person Valliant was meeting or providing any further details about the shooting. The number of times Valliant was shot remains undisclosed as well.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no arrests have been made in relation to the shooting itself. However, the investigation led officers to two individuals who may have some involvement in the case. The suspects were identified as Kevin Latrell Coleman, aged 29, and Tulana Joshua, aged 33, both residents of Ocala.

Following interviews with the detectives, Coleman and Joshua were arrested and transported to the county jail. They are currently facing charges of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, although specific details regarding these charges have not been revealed.

In addition to the tampering charges, Coleman faces two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. It is worth noting that Coleman has a criminal history, having previously served time in prison for burglary and grand theft. He was released from prison in October 2019 but has since faced charges of felony battery.

Coleman is currently being held without bail, as stated by jail records. On the other hand, Joshua, whose bail was set at $5,000, does not have a criminal record. As of now, she remains in custody at the county jail.
