26-Year-Old Woman Found Murdered in Bed at Her House in Ludhiana

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Ludhiana: A gruesome murder shocked the residents of Garden City on Bhamiyan Road when a 26-year-old woman was found brutally killed in her bed on Monday morning. The victim, identified as Pooja, was discovered with her throat slit while her 4-year-old twin sons slept beside her, unaware of the tragedy that had unfolded.

The incident came to light when Pooja’s 14-year-old stepson, who was sleeping in another room, stumbled upon the horrifying scene and immediately alerted the neighbors. The police were informed, and upon arrival, they confirmed that the woman had indeed been murdered.

Pooja was married to Dadwal Kumar, an employee at Vardhman Mills. Kumar informed the police that he had gone to Phagwara to visit his ailing nephew in the hospital and was expected to return on Monday morning.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jatinder Chopra, the murder likely took place late at night. Pooja’s stepson discovered her lifeless body and raised the alarm at around 6:30 am, prompting the neighbors to contact the authorities. Fortunately, Pooja’s twin sons were unharmed in the incident.

This was Pooja’s first marriage, as she wed Dadwal in 2017 following the death of his first wife due to an illness. Dadwal has a son and a daughter from his previous marriage, with his daughter residing in Bihar and his 14-year-old son living with them in Ludhiana.

The investigation has revealed that the main gate of the house was bolted from the inside, indicating that there were no signs of forced entry. The police are questioning Pooja’s stepson, who claims to have not heard any cries or sounds of struggle during the night. The possibility of domestic violence is also being considered, as neighbors have shared accounts of Pooja allegedly mistreating her stepson over trivial matters.

The murder has left the community in shock and disbelief. The police have launched a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the crime and identify the perpetrator. Forensic and technical teams have been deployed to gather evidence from the crime scene.
