24-Year-Old Nilesh Meena Commits Suicide Using Explosives in Rishabhdeo, Udaipur

Udaipur,07.11.23- A tragic incident shook the village of Masaron ki Obri in Rishabdeo area of Udaipur on Monday evening when a 24-year-old youth took his own life using explosives. The young man, identified as Nilesh Meena, allegedly ended his life due to distress caused by his girlfriend’s engagement to another person.

While the police initially considered it a suicide, the parents of the deceased have lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the relatives of the girl, believing them to be responsible for their son’s death. According to the father’s statement in the FIR, his son was taken away by four to five people, beheaded, and his body was left a few meters away from their house.

In response to their son’s tragic demise, the grieving parents and villagers staged a protest outside the local police station. They demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action against them. The distraught parents even refused to allow the postmortem of their son’s body until their demands were met.

After a long conversation between the officials and the villagers, the relatives of the deceased were eventually convinced to allow the postmortem to take place. The procedure was conducted, and the body was later handed over to the family.

The incident came to light when the people in the area heard a loud explosion. Upon rushing to the scene, they discovered Nilesh’s body, with his head detached due to the force of the explosion. The police were immediately informed and Station House Officer (SHO) Mahipal Singh of Rishabdeo police station arrived at the scene. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called in to collect samples from the site.

While the father of the deceased claims it to be a murder, the police have reason to believe that Nilesh may have taken his own life. According to SHO Mahipal Singh, Nilesh’s father reported that unidentified men took his son from their house and beheaded him. However, the evidence suggests a different scenario, pointing towards self-inflicted harm.

The case has been registered, and the investigation is currently underway. Nilesh, who worked as a laborer in Udaipur, hailed from a farming family and had two sisters. Rishabdeo, known for its marble mines, often uses detonators for mining purposes. It raises questions as to how Nilesh managed to obtain the detonator. The police are thoroughly investigating the matter, and the postmortem report has been handed over to the grieving family.

This tragic incident has left the entire village in shock, and the authorities are committed to getting to the bottom of the case. The community hopes for justice and closure as they mourn the loss of a young life..
