Accident – Death – Obituary News : NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Shocking images of unverified pages from The Covenant School shooter’s writings have been released to the public by conservative radio host Steven Crowder. The images, which were allegedly taken by a detective at the Covenant School scene and sent to Crowder’s source within the Metro Nashville Police Department, were shared on Monday. Crowder’s team flew to Nashville to obtain the images and verify their authenticity.

Although Crowder did not disclose whether he has more pages to share, he mentioned that Metro police should be able to authenticate the documents as they currently have possession of the shooter’s journals. Metro police spokesperson Kris Mumford stated that the department is “still looking into it.”

The shooting incident occurred on March 27 at the Covenant School in Green Hills, resulting in the tragic deaths of six individuals, including three children. The victims have been identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all 9 years old, as well as Cynthia Peak, Dr. Katherine Koonce, and Mike Hill.

Following a search of the shooter’s home and car, the police discovered multiple journals that allegedly documented the plans for the mass murder, which had been formulated months before the shooting took place. The shooter fired a total of 152 rounds, consisting of 126 rifle rounds and 26 nine-millimeter rounds, during the attack.

The collective writings found in a vehicle left in the school parking lot, as well as those discovered during the home search, reveal that the shooter had meticulously planned the mass murder at The Covenant School over an extended period. The writings also indicated that the shooter had studied the actions of other mass murderers.

According to the autopsy report, the shooter was found wearing a white shirt with handwritten words, drawings, and numbers on it. Handwritten words were also discovered on the shooter’s bra, although the report did not specify their content.

Nashville mayor Freddie O’Connell expressed his concerns about the alleged release of the documents and has initiated an investigation into how the images were made public. The investigation may involve local, state, and federal authorities. Mayor O’Connell emphasized the importance of supporting the grieving Covenant families and all Nashvillians affected by the incident, providing contact information for professional support services.

David Raybin, an attorney representing the shooter’s parents, declined to authenticate the documents, stating that it would be inappropriate for him to comment on pending litigation. The Covenant Families For Brighter Tomorrows, an organization representing the families affected by the shooting, declined to comment on the alleged manifesto release.

The release of the shooter’s writings to the public remains a subject of ongoing legal debate. Both the Covenant families and the Metro Government have argued for their right to weigh in on whether the so-called manifesto should be released. The Court of Appeals heard arguments from both sides on Monday, October 16.

Despite the tragic incident, students, faculty, and staff are expected to return to The Covenant School campus in January..
