BUFFALO COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) – The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) has released the identities of the individuals involved in a tragic crash that occurred on Friday afternoon along Interstate 80. The incident took place near mile marker 261, at the Odessa interchange.
According to NSP, Arthur Rivera, a 63-year-old resident of Omaha, sadly succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision. He was pronounced dead at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.
The preliminary investigation conducted by NSP indicates that the crash involved two vehicles. A Ford F-150 traveling eastbound on I-80 crossed the median and collided with a westbound semi-truck.
Arthur Rivera was identified as the driver of the Ford F-150. The authorities have stated that the driver of the semi-truck, a 45-year-old man from New Jersey, was transported to a local hospital. Although his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, he is receiving medical treatment.
