BATHINDA: A devastating accident occurred in Punjab’s Moga district in the early hours of Sunday, resulting in the death of four individuals, including the groom, while two others sustained injuries. The incident took place on the Ferozepur-Ludhiana national highway when the car carrying the wedding party collided with a stationary truck. The ill-fated group was en route from village Ojha Wali in Fazilka district to village Baddowal in Ludhiana district.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old groom Sukhwinder Singh, his close relatives Angrej Singh (26), Simran Kaur (25), and 4-year-old Arshdeep Kaur. The injured individuals, 45-year-old Mohinderpal Singh and 29-year-old Seema, have been admitted to a hospital in Ludhiana for treatment.

Senior Superintendent of Police J Elenchezhian confirmed that an investigation into the incident is currently underway. The bodies of the deceased have been transported to Moga Civil Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
