Motorcycle Rider Shonta Hall Killed in Clovis Crash

Accident – death – Obituary News : CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The Clovis Police Department has released details of a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a woman riding a motorcycle. The fatal collision took place at the intersection of Wheaton Street and Madison Road in Clovis.

According to the authorities, the incident unfolded around 6:17 p.m. when law enforcement officers responded to reports of a crash involving a white GMC SUV and a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Upon arriving at the scene, emergency personnel discovered the GMC SUV stationary near Madison Road, while the motorcycle lay on its side in the middle of the road. Tragically, the motorcycle rider, identified as 42-year-old Shonta Hall, had been ejected from her bike and came to rest on the grass on the north side of Wheaton Street. Regrettably, Hall succumbed to the injuries she sustained during the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV is said to be cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. The Clovis Police Department’s Major Crash Team is currently leading the probe into the incident, aiming to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.

Motorcycle accidents can be especially devastating, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities due to the lack of protection for riders. The loss of Shonta Hall serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for all motorists to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic regulations.
