Man stabs wife to death over argument due to coming home late, jumps off third floor

The incident occurred on Saturday night, following a heated argument that erupted between the couple due to Aditya’s late arrival home. Aditya, who worked in a clothing store, has been identified as the accused in this tragic incident.

The couple’s two children were present during the escalating confrontation, witnessing the horrific murder. In a desperate attempt to contain the situation and ensure their own safety, the children tried to confine their father within a room after the brutal stabbing took place. However, Aditya managed to escape their confinement and jumped from the third floor, resulting in severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. The children promptly informed the police about their father’s act, providing details that he had used a knife to harm their mother. It is worth noting that Aditya had previously made multiple suicide attempts and frequently engaged in arguments with his wife.

Man murders wife over dispute about cooking method

In a separate incident in Ganjam district, Odisha, another man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murdering his wife. The alleged motive behind the crime was a dispute over cooking methods. The accused, Mithun, had requested his wife, Lili Nayak, to cook their daily meals using firewood. However, Lili preferred using an LPG stove, leading to a heated argument between the couple.

Argument escalates over cooking choice

As Lili proceeded with cooking on the stove, Mithun’s anger intensified, resulting in a verbal altercation. Consumed by rage, he attacked Lili with a sharp weapon. The commotion from the couple’s house attracted the attention of their neighbors, who swiftly intervened. They rushed Lili, who was bleeding profusely, to the Community Health Centre in Dharakote. Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police investigation and family allegations

Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the hospital, conducted a post-mortem examination, and detained Mithun. They also confiscated the weapon used in the crime as evidence. In addition to the police case, Lili’s parents have made serious allegations against Mithun and his family, claiming that they had subjected her to prolonged abuse. They further assert that Mithun had a history of alcohol abuse, which Lili frequently opposed.
