Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – In a shocking incident that occurred late on Saturday night, a man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death following a petty quarrel. The victim has been identified as Shivani Kapoor, while the accused has been identified as Aditya Kapoor.

Troubled Marriage and Drug Addiction
According to the police, Aditya Kapoor worked at a textiles shop owned by his in-laws’ relative in the bustling Aminabad area. However, for several years, he had battled a severe drug addiction, which often led to daily arguments with his wife, Shivani.
The Fatal Altercation
The couple’s troubled relationship took a dark turn on Saturday night when an altercation erupted between them around 11.30 pm. Enraged by the heated argument, Aditya allegedly resorted to violence and attacked Shivani multiple times with a knife.
Desperate Escape and Gruesome Discovery
After the brutal attack, the accused fled the scene, leaving Shivani lying in a pool of blood. Their traumatized children, who had witnessed the horrifying incident, immediately informed their relatives about their father’s heinous act. The relatives acted swiftly, rushing Shivani to the nearest hospital. Tragically, she succumbed to her grievous injuries during the course of treatment.
Manhunt Launched for the Fugitive
As news of the shocking crime spread, the police initiated a search operation to apprehend the absconding Aditya Kapoor. Law enforcement authorities are determined to bring him to justice for the brutal murder of his wife.
