Accident – Death – Obituary News : Police in Haveri, Hangal taluk, are currently searching for a suspect accused of brutally murdering his brother’s wife and their two young children. The accused, identified as Kumar Gouda, allegedly used a sharp weapon to inflict fatal injuries on the victims, identified as Geeta (35), Akul (10), and Ankita (8). After committing the heinous crime, Gouda reportedly washed the weapon and changed his clothes before fleeing the scene.
The triple murder, which occurred on Friday, is believed to have been motivated by financial reasons, although the police have yet to officially confirm the motive. According to local villagers, Gouda, his mother, his brother’s wife, and the two children resided together in Yallur village. Gouda’s brother, who has been working in Dubai for the past 15 years, frequently visited the family and had been home just last month.

“The primary reason for the murders is a financial dispute. We have recovered the murder weapon and other items used in the crime,” stated Superintendent of Police (SP) Shivakumar Gunare.
He further added, “Kumar was an alcoholic and was locked in a dispute with his brother over financial issues. The motive behind the murders will become clearer once we interrogate the accused. We are actively trying to track him down.”

The suspect was identified through CCTV footage and apprehended with the assistance of secret informers and technical surveillance. During the investigation, a knife used in the crime and two mobile phones were recovered. The suspect claimed that he had a monetary dispute with the victim, which led to the altercation and subsequent stabbing.

In another recent incident, an elderly man was found murdered in Ambala district’s Talheri Gujran village. The police have filed a case against three suspects from the same village under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The victim’s son alleges that the suspects were drinking with his father the night before the incident and believes they are involved in his murder. Tragically, one of the accused allegedly died by suicide, and no arrests have been made thus far.
Moving beyond India, an alarming case emerged in Ohio, where a social worker named Payton Shires was accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy. In a shocking turn of events, Shires arrived at the victim’s home armed with a gun and threatened to kill herself and the boy’s mother. She has since been taken into police custody and faces additional charges of intimidation of a crime victim and intimidation of a crime witness.
