Elderly Woman Passes Away after Collapsing during Church Prayer Session

An elderly female worshipper, identified as Bisi Adewumi, tragically lost her life after collapsing during a prayer session at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in the Ibafo area of Ogun State.

The 75-year-old worshipper was immediately attended to by the church’s Head of Security, Pastor Ekikere Esiere, after she slumped at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. She was swiftly rushed to the church clinic for medical assistance.

However, due to the severity of her condition, she was subsequently transferred to the Sagamu General Hospital for further treatment. Sadly, despite medical efforts, she passed away while receiving treatment on Friday.

The Ogun State Police Command was notified of the incident by Pastor Ekikere Esiere, who promptly reported the matter to the Ibafo division. The police have since commenced an investigation into the incident.

Providing an update on the case, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, revealed that the deceased’s body has been deposited at the hospital morgue. She also mentioned that no relatives of the deceased have come forward to claim the body, and the investigation is ongoing.

This unfortunate incident has left the church community and the local residents in shock. The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is known for its fervent prayer sessions and spiritual gatherings, attracting worshippers from far and wide.
