Tragic Rollover Crash Claims Life of Noblesville Man

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Derrick Shetler, a 35-year-old resident of Noblesville, lost his life in a devastating rollover crash during the early hours of Saturday morning, according to local authorities.

The Noblesville Police Department responded to a distress call reporting a single-vehicle accident at approximately 3:06 a.m. The incident occurred at the intersection of 146th Street and Promise Road, located on the southeast side of Noblesville.

Witnesses present at the scene informed law enforcement officials that Shetler was behind the wheel of a 2013 Chrysler 200, travelling eastbound on 146th Street at an excessive speed. Tragically, Shetler lost control of the vehicle, striking a curb on the south side of the road, west of Promise Road.

The force of the impact caused the Chrysler 200 to veer off the road, ultimately rolling over multiple times before coming to rest on the south side of 146th Street. The violent nature of the crash resulted in Shetler being forcefully ejected from the vehicle.

Regrettably, Shetler succumbed to his injuries at the scene, despite the prompt arrival of emergency medical services.

Authorities have confirmed that Shetler was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the accident. The absence of other passengers indicates that no additional lives were endangered in the tragic incident.

Due to the severity of the crash and the subsequent investigation process, the affected area remained closed for several hours. Crash scene investigators meticulously examined the site to gather crucial evidence and determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal rollover.
