ORLANDO, Fla. – A shocking incident unfolded in Orlando on Friday night as an individual rammed a stolen car into a police vehicle, leading to a dramatic pursuit and subsequent arrests. According to the Orlando Police Department (OPD), officers patrolling the area of South Kirkman Road and Metrowest Boulevard at approximately 10:44 p.m. spotted a vehicle matching the description provided in a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) alert related to an armed sexual battery, armed burglary, and armed robbery that had occurred earlier in the day.

The officers, who were in an unmarked police vehicle, immediately recognized two individuals in a Toyota Corolla that matched the BOLO description, according to an arrest affidavit. The suspects, later identified as Celah White and Cameron Singleton, were driving the stolen vehicle when they turned into an apartment complex off Sterling Crest Drive. Realizing they had reached a dead end, a second police unit arrived and attempted a “high risk traffic stop” using lights and sirens.

White, wearing a red hooded shirt similar to the one described in the BOLO, responded to the police presence by reversing the stolen vehicle into the police car with significant force, as reported by the OPD. Subsequently, the Corolla fled eastbound towards a wooded area, where it eventually came to a halt after driving over a ledge.

According to the arrest affidavit, White fled northbound into the wooded area, while Singleton, the front passenger, ran in the opposite direction. However, Singleton soon realized he couldn’t continue in that direction and changed course, running northbound along the wooded line. OPD officers managed to apprehend White north of the initial traffic stop, with additional units, including the aviation unit and K9 officers, responding to the scene to aid in the search for Singleton.

During the pursuit, police discovered a black pistol, cellphone, and a fresh set of gloves in the vicinity where Singleton fell. As a result of the K9 apprehension, Singleton was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while White was taken to OPD headquarters for further processing.

The arrest affidavit indicates that White is facing several charges, including aggravated battery on law enforcement with a motor vehicle, grand theft, fleeing and eluding, resisting an officer without violence, and driving without a valid license. However, the document did not specify the charges Singleton will be facing.
