Marian Vitale Obituary, Cause of deathIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marian A. Vitale, a much-loved member of our family. Marian peacefully departed from this world on August 20, after bravely battling a brief illness in Interlachen, Florida, her cherished home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1951, to Edward F. and Virginia Popecki, Marian’s life was a rich tapestry adorned with love, laughter, and treasured moments shared with her family and friends. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the extraordinary woman she was.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her dear son Robert Vitale, and her beloved husband Vinny Vitale. She is survived by her devoted son Brian Zweifler and his wife Dana, along with their three cherished grandchildren, Theodore, Ellie, and Shirley, all residing in New York. Her family brought immense joy to Marian’s life. Additionally, she leaves behind her brother, Joseph Popecki, and sister-in-law Kathy, as well as four nieces: Jeanie Popecki and her husband Jimmy Paul, Mary Lyons and her husband Doug, both of Interlachen, Janet Silverman of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Christina Burris and her husband Bill of Texas. Her nephew, James Marciano, also from Texas, along with several great-nephews and great-nieces, completed her extended family.

Marian’s career as a retired newspaper carrier for the New York Daily Times exemplified her strong work ethic and dedication to her responsibilities. However, beyond her professional life, she found immense pleasure in life’s simple joys. Gardening, solving crossword puzzles, playing card games, and, above all, spending cherished moments with her family brought her immense happiness. Her laughter was contagious, and her sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Marian A. Vitale was a beacon of love, joy, and humor in the lives of all those privileged to have crossed paths with her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever evoke smiles and warmth in our hearts. During this time of sorrow, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Marian’s family. May her legacy of love and laughter continue to live on, serving as a beautiful tribute to a life well-lived.
