The Metropolitan Police Department’s (MPD) Homicide Branch is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident of murder that took place on August 16th in the 3000 block of 14th Street, NW.
MPD records indicate that law enforcement officers in the vicinity heard the sound of gunshots and immediately began searching the area. They discovered an adult male victim who had been shot and showed no signs of life. Another adult male victim, also suffering from gunshot wounds, was found on the 1300 block of Columbia Road, NW. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, with his injuries not considered life-threatening.
The deceased victim has been identified as Kevin Scott, a 33-year-old individual.
