In Lee County, a two-vehicle accident occurred involving a truck and a residential mower tractor. The operator of the mower, Steven Schau, was injured and transported to Quincy Medical Center via a life flight helicopter. On Saturday, at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon, Lee County Deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of 150th Avenue in response to a collision between a truck and a residential mower tractor. As they were en route, dispatch informed them that a life flight helicopter was en route to provide medical assistance to Steven Schau, the operator of the mower. Upon arrival, the deputies found that Lee County Ambulance and firefighters were already present at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck involved in the accident was identified as Daniel Sallen. Further investigation revealed that Sallen’s driving license had been suspended the previous week due to impaired vision. Schau was subsequently airlifted to Quincy Medical Center for medical treatment..
