It seems that whatever plans Daryl Morey, the team’s president of basketball operations, had when he took over in 2020 have completely unraveled.

Morey initially expressed confidence in the team and its potential, claiming that they were being underrated. However, recent events have proven otherwise. James Harden, the team’s second-best player, publicly criticized Morey in his quest to be traded to another team. This public display of discontent is unprecedented, particularly at a time when fans are already at their breaking point. The Sixers, more so than other NBA teams, cannot afford to plead for patience from their fans due to a decade of inconsistent performance and false starts, including the infamous “Process” rebuilding plan.
