The financial situation has become challenging for Jenelle Evans, a former cast member of the popular reality TV show “Teen Mom 2,” after being fired in 2019. Despite her nine-year stint on three different shows within the MTV franchise, she currently has a surprisingly low net worth in 2023.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, as of 2023, Jenelle’s net worth is estimated at $30,000.

During an interview on “Jared and Katie in the Morning” on 17.5 KZL in 2015, Jenelle revealed that she had earned around half a million dollars from her involvement in “Teen Mom 2.”

At the time, she stated, “I wouldn’t say that I’ve made a million dollars. I would say a little bit over maybe half a million. I’m not allowed to discuss it.” According to Star magazine, Jenelle received an annual salary of $75,000 from the show, while her mother earned $65,000, which she referred to as an overpaid babysitter. In addition to her salary, Jenelle also received bonus payments in the form of gift cards to places like The Olive Garden from MTV.

After her tenure on “Teen Mom 2,” Jenelle attempted to start a beauty company by launching the Je Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Kit in September 2019. Expressing her enthusiasm about the product, she told Us Weekly, “I’m just really happy that I can introduce something that can cater to everyone. They won’t have to match their shade. They can just buy one kit and have everything they need.”

Jenelle explained that the idea for the eyebrow kit came to her while she was working on her own eyebrows. She said, “I often used a pencil, sometimes powder, and occasionally had to use wax. I thought, why doesn’t someone put all these products in one kit? That way, I wouldn’t have to search for them!”

Unfortunately, her beauty company went out of business in 2021. Jenelle then shifted her focus to monetizing her social media channels, as she has a substantial following on platforms like Instagram (3.1 million followers) and TikTok (3 million followers). She has promoted various products, including menstrual underwear.

Jenelle also attempted podcasting but only managed to produce three episodes between July 2021 and January 2022.

In addition to financial struggles, Jenelle faced personal difficulties with her husband, David Eason. In June 2020, they were hit with a North Carolina state tax lien worth $46,406.70 for the 2017 tax year. David’s actions also led to Jenelle losing her job on “Teen Mom 2” in May 2019 after he shot and killed their dog, Nugget. Previously, David had been fired from the show in February 2018 due to posting homophobic statements online. Consequently, filming Jenelle’s storylines became challenging as production crews were unable to film at their home due to David’s presence. The couple has a daughter named Ensley, who was born in January 2017.

Furthermore, Jenelle has been involved in a custody battle with her mother, Barbara Evans, over her son Jace, whom Barbara had raised since his birth in 2009. Despite numerous court appearances and likely substantial legal fees, Jenelle regained full custody of Jace in March 2023. Speaking to Us Weekly, she expressed her desire to rebuild her relationship with her mother, stating, “My mom and I decided together to grant full custody back to me because we want to rebuild our relationship as mother and daughter.”.
