The Lake City Police Department issued a news alert on Tuesday informing the public that a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting in July has surrendered to authorities. The incident occurred on July 7 at Cedar Park Apartments, where officers responded to reports of a person being shot. According to the victim, they had arranged to sell a gun to Jaquary D. Pratt, but when they met with Pratt and two other men, one of them pulled out a firearm and aimed it at the victim’s head. The victim managed to push the gun away, but it discharged and struck them in the lower body. A warrant was issued for Pratt’s arrest, and he has since been taken into custody. The second suspect, identified as Jaedyn Washington, is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. However, Washington turned himself in to the police on Tuesday without incident.
