Three teenagers have been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies and carjackings in Washington D.C. The suspects allegedly used handguns to threaten victims and steal property. Metropolitan Police in Washington, D.C., have apprehended and charged three teenagers in relation to a series of violent robberies and carjackings that have occurred across the city. The initial incident took place on the night of Wednesday, August 9, on 6th Street, Southwest, where the suspects brandished firearms and threatened the victim, demanding their belongings before making their escape.

The following day, on Thursday, August 10, the teens allegedly committed two armed carjackings within a short span of 15 minutes. The first carjacking occurred at approximately 1:38 a.m. on 22nd Street, Northwest, while the second incident, involving the theft of another vehicle at gunpoint, took place at around 1:50 a.m. on 13th Street, Northwest.
Further investigation suggests that the suspects also carried out an additional armed robbery at 11:22 p.m. in the 1300 block of 18th Street, Northwest. The final reported incident transpired at 12:15 a.m. on Maine Avenue, Southwest, just before the suspects were apprehended.
Subsequently, a 16-year-old, 17-year-old, and 18-year-old, identified as Delonte Mabry, were arrested and charged in connection with these crimes. During their arrest, law enforcement recovered four firearms from the suspects, who were also charged with carrying a pistol without a license.
