The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at the Amberwood Apartments on Northwest 42nd Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, identified as Connie Smith, with fatal gunshot wounds. The suspect, identified as 48-year-old Shane Smith, who is the victim’s son, was apprehended at the scene and is currently in custody. He has been booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a first-degree murder charge.
